Saturated Fat Revisited: The Debate Continues-Good or Bad?

I came across some interesting articles on saturated fat. It is an old debate as to whether saturated fat is good or bad for you. For many years - decades even, the mainstream touted that saturated fat will clog your arteries, make you fat and kill you. But modern science and research has been blowing the smoke screen away to show that the old myths may not be true.

My thoughts on it are pretty simple. If it comes from nature, most of the time it's good for you. If it comes from man, most of the time it's bad for you.

A lot of people do not realize that coconuts are saturated fat. Full of MCT -medium chain triglycerides, coconuts have plenty of growing literature giving accolades to their health properties. The fat haters still debate it as they always will.

Here are a couple of interesting articles on the saturated fat topic:

I was wrong - we should be feasting on FAT, says The Fast Diet author DR MICHAEL MOSLEY

7 Reasons to Eat More Saturated Fat

Bottom line is that new research is showing what we always knew. Don't fear saturated fats, fear man made processed trans fat.
