Stretchy Pants and Your Fat Loss Program

Many women wear stretchy pants not because of the comfort but because no matter how fat or lean you get,  these pants still fit. The problem is that if you are getting fatter, you can't really tell, because your clothes still fit and feel normal.

Try doing that with a pair of tight jeans - when you get fat, you definitely know it. And you are more likely to take action or at least be aware than if you always wore stretchy clothing. The goal is for your clothes to fit better, looser and get too big requiring a smaller size. Not to wear the same stretchy clothes for 10 years straight regardless of how fat you got.

Wear fitted clothes most of the time. It will help you keep track of your fat loss progress or lack of progress. A good goal is to set out an old pair of jeans, swim suite, or other clothing in the size you want and give yourself a date to put them on. Put it out somewhere that you can walk by it and see it everyday.

So minimize the stretchy pants use, wear fitted clothes, have a goal and stay aware!

My Get Lean Program: After My 44th Birthday, Continuing The Mission

I completed my 8 week get lean program about 2 months ago so I could heal up my joints and work on getting as lean as I could realistically, without extremes or competition level prep.

Since then, I've run two 5k's (first time running at all other than sprints in 7 years) and had my 44th birthday (where I indulged in cheesecake cupcakes and PSL's).

Now I have started lifting gradually heavier again as my joints are feeling much better. I'm still loosely following the intermittent fasting protocols. So the mission now is to get strong again, add muscle and stay as lean as I can.

Are you tracking your progress, pics and numbers? If not, I recommend that you start soon. I post my pics and info for my benefit and accountability as well as to show you that my program works and I practice what I preach, for the most part, as best I can. .

I'm not trying to impress anyone. I'm 44 now and I track my data to show myself as well as anyone interested that age is a limitation of the mind and not of a willing body and spirit. There is so much more to do. I will keep you posted.

Meal of the Week for Busy People: Tuna, Eggs and Greens

Meal of the week for busy people: tuna, hard boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, Swiss chard, spinach, arugula and tat soi. I mixed all of the ingredients into the bowl that the greens came in and stirred it up with a touch of balsamic vinaigrette. Easy -took a couple minutes and was tasty and filling. Lots of greens and high protein with good fats.
