Dangers of High Fructose Corn Syrup Revisited

We have all seen the TV commercials saying that High Fructose Corn Syrup isn't bad for you and it's natural-it comes from corn right? Well don't believe it for a second. It's not good for you at all and it's found in damn near everything we eat or drink. Read your food labels and avoid it in any quantity.

Some of the reported effects of ingesting too much High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) include:

obesity

mineral losses

elevated blood cholesterol levels

copper deficiency

creation of blood clots

increase in the concentration of uric acid

increased the number of free radicals, damaged molecules that contribute to cancer and aging

Almost half of tested samples of commercial high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) contained mercury, which was also found in nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first- or second-highest labeled ingredient, according to two new U.S. studies.

The list goes on and on but I hope you get the idea. Stay away from HFCS and watch what your kids eat and drink for their sake.

The links below provide some alarming yet interesting reading about HFCS. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. Read and learn.
